Church Buses

Used Church Buses for Sale are a great item to look for if you are trying to improve the service that you offer to your church patrons. Sometimes, churchgoers find it difficult to get transportation to and from church, and if they can't swing it, it would be wonderful for them to have the option of having transportation provided by the church itself. The first thing to consider is whether you want a full sized church bus, a mid size church bus, or a mini church bus. You may have reasons for going with the larger categories, but it is often best to look for mini church buses.

Used Mini Church Buses for Sale

The reasons for favoring a mini church bus as opposed to a larger one are two-fold:

  1. It is less of an investment, both initially and monthly
  2. It is easier to find a volunteer and/or pay someone to operate the bus

For larger church buses, you will need someone to operate the coach that has a CDL (commercial driver's license). So, not just anyone can operate a larger bus. It takes time and training to get a CDL, which means that people with this kind of license are much fewer and far between. However, with a mini church bus, you can allow anyone in the congregation to operate the coach, whether they simply volunteer, or if you offer them a small stipend. The key is to make sure that the bus can transport no more than 14 passengers.

Mid Size and Fullsize Church Buses for Sale

So, should you decide that a mini church bus is just simply not large enough to support your congregation, that is ok. You can look into getting a larger coach. Now, if this is the case, than you may want to highly consider how many people you think will actually use the service. Start with a poll. You can collect the poll as you collect your tithes! First address the entire congregation, and let them know you are considering offering a service of transport. See how many people say they will use the transportation. This is in order to know whether or not it will be worth it for you to offer the transportation.

Then, if it seems like people would be likely to use the service, enough to justify a larger bus, poll your congregation again to see if there are any people who would volunteer to operate the bus. Of course you will need to explain that only CDL drivers would be able to offer assistance. If you receive several volunteers, and enough patrons who would use the service, then it may be worth getting a large church bus.

Church Bus Sales

Again, you may call upon the congregation to go out and seek quality Church Bus Sales to assist in getting the best deal and minimizing costs. And it would be wise to ask for donations towards this endeavor. After all, the goal is to support those who struggle to physically make it to church, so you are providing a service to the congregation, and your brothers and sisters should be willing to help out!

I can't stress enough my feeling that looking for Mini Church buses for sale is the wisest choice. Even if you feel that would not be big enough, you would likely be better off getting multiple small church buses that would not require a CDL to operate. All things being equal, you are more likely to get two non-cdl volunteers from your congregation, than one volunteer with a CDL. And should a CDL volunteer cease to provide assistance, it would be harder to replace them than if you had a non-CDL church bus!
